International Student Barometer

The International Student Barometer will launch at Glasgow Caledonian on 13 November 2023.

Look out for your invitation email in your university email account. All students who participate in the survey will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win an overnight stay for two at a four-star Edinburgh hotel.

What is the International Student Barometer?

The International Student Barometer (ISB) runs annually and is open to all international and EU (non-UK) students at the University’s Glasgow and London campuses.

The survey covers all aspects of the student experience and is your opportunity to tell us about you what you liked about your time at the University, as well as things you feel could have been improved. It is run by the external research agency i-graduate.

The survey is straightforward and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. You will be asked a number of questions on a range of topics, including application and arrival; learning and teaching; support services; and living in Glasgow or London.

Why should I take part?

Participation in the ISB is optional, but by completing the survey you will play a part in enhancing the student experience for current and future students. Previous responses to the ISB have resulted in positive changes for Glasgow Caledonian students, including:

How can I take part?

The survey is run by the International Graduate Insight Group (i-graduate) and is completed online.

If you are eligible to complete the survey, you will receive an email to your university email account with a link to the survey.

What happens with my feedback?

Your feedback will be passed on anonymously to the University to help us identify how we can continue to enhance the student experience at Glasgow Caledonian.

Prize draw terms and conditions:

The prize draw winner will be selected at random and notified by email by the University's Department of Strategy and Planning no later than 31 January 2024.

One GCU student will win an overnight stay for two at a 4-star Edinburgh hotel. This cannot be substituted for a cash alternative. Responses must be submitted by midnight on 18 December 2023 to be eligible for this prize draw.

Your privacy comes first

We take your information privacy very seriously. All responses to student surveys are strictly confidential and are anonymised for reporting purposes. Reports will be in aggregate format and no individual will be identifiable. All surveys follow the University's Data Protection guidelines.
