International student welcome
Here at GCU, we strive to help our international students feel part of our community. We provide an extensive welcome programme for students in September and January, as well as offering social activities throughout the academic year. All of this allows students to make new connections and get the best experience GCU and Glasgow has to offer.
Try your best to get here for induction week, as well as the start of teaching, to give yourself the best start for success in your studies. If you are unavoidably late, there are deadlines for completing the registration process (that’s completing online registration and collecting your card).

Airport pick-up service
We offer a free Airport pick-up service for international students arriving at Glasgow International Airport. The service will run from Thursday 2 January 2025 to Sunday 9 February 2025.
