Global Buddies

The Global Buddies Programme aims to provide a friendly welcome for new international students, helping them to settle into life in Scotland. We also hope that this scheme will improve integration and cultural exchange.

All participants are invited to Global Buddies social events, will be among the first to hear about day trips and other student events, and be part of the Global Buddy Social group chat on WhatsApp.

New international students can apply to be matched with a Senior Global Buddy, a welcoming face and someone they can go to for help and advice. Buddies are matched based on common interests like sports, movies, or outdoor activities. Participants will also be added to the Global Buddy Social group chat and can attend social events.

Please be aware that this service is for GCU Glasgow students only.
