Your nationality, the country where you normally live, and the course you choose to study all determine the cost of your tuition fees. Tuition fees for each course can be found on the individual course page.
What is my fee status?
Your fee status tends to be the same as your current country of residence but it is not always this straightforward and we will confirm your fee status with you when we offer you a place at the University.
Your fee status can be one of the following:
Scotland (Home)
If you are a UK citizen and your home is in Scotland and you are studying in Scotland you will probably be classed as a home student. Home student tuition fees are shown on each individual course page with part-time and distance learning fees also available.
England, Wales and Northern Ireland (RUK)
If you are a UK citizen who lives in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, then you are probably classed as Home Rest of UK (RUK) student for fee purposes. We are committed to keeping our fees for RUK students affordable and our central location and campus facilities help keep the cost of studying away from home more manageable.
European Union (EU)
If you are an EU National who is not living in the UK, and you are studying in Scotland you will probably be classed as an EU student. If you are worried about the impact of the EU referendum on the cost of studying in Scotland, check out our guide to the EU Referendum.
International
If you are a national from outwith the EU you will probably be classed as an International student for fee purposes. We are an international organisation and we have a thriving international community attending our UK campuses.
We offer a range of scholarships and bursaries that can help with the cost of university study.
You will find full-time fee rates on each course page and part-time and distance learning fees are also available.
