Climate Change
As the University for the Common Good, GCU is at the frontline of tackling Climate Change through our cutting edge research and education, supporting communities internationally, in Scotland, and in the rest of the UK.
Tackling climate change for the Common Good
GCU is driving change in vital areas for the environment: by helping communities adapt and become more resilient to Climate Change, creating nature-based solutions, implementing a just energy transition, providing clean road transport and delivering climate finance.
We have been proud to be part of the COP26 Universities Network working together to promote a zero carbon, resilient future.
Everyone across society – political leaders, businesses, local councils, educational institutions, grassroots community groups, students, teachers, workers and individuals – has a role to play in overcoming the Climate Emergency we face.
We can accomplish great things, if we work together for the Common Good.
