What is the National Student Survey?

The National Student Survey (NSS) is an independent, UK-wide initiative carried out by market research firm Ipsos. You are eligible for the NSS if you are a final-year undergraduate or in your fourth year of a flexible part-time course.

You can find more information on the NSS website.

What will I be asked in the NSS?

There are a number of core questions, relating to aspects of your experience such as the teaching on your course, assessment and feedback, academic support and a number of other key areas.

You are also given the opportunity to provide comments on your overall learning experience at the end of the questionnaire.

What happens with my feedback?

Your feedback will be passed on, anonymously, to the University to help us identify how we can continue to enhance the student experience at Glasgow Caledonian. NSS results are also made publicly available to help prospective students make informed decisions about what and where to study.

Your privacy comes first

Responses to the survey are strictly confidential, and all responses are anonymised before they are shared with the university, so you can give your open, honest feedback.

Further information about privacy and data protection is available on the National Student Survey website, and in Ipsos's Privacy and Data Protection Policy.
