GCU Masters student gives key note speech at an international summit

A GCU Masters student has been given the opportunity to speak at an international summit which focuses on supporting women in business.

MSc Social Innovation student Ntsiki Mkhize, who is an experienced key note speaker, took part in in the SME Women Global Virtual Entrepreneurial & Investing Summit. The virtual event welcomed experts in investment and training, including Ntsiki who is the founder of MentHer: a global mentorship network which supports female entrepreneurs.

Ntsiki gave her talk on “The power of Mentorship” which discussed the purpose of mentorship, how to identify and engage a mentor and achieve personal and business growth.

Ntsiki was honoured to be given the opportunity to speak at the event. She said: “It's a phenomenal opportunity, especially to join other phenomenal women as we share knowledge to empower women in celebration of Women's Month here in South Africa.

It's an honour to have been selected to be part of the SME Women's Summit and to share the stage with other international speakers. I'm also really excited to be co-hosting a free webinar celebrating women and our different personality types and sharing how we can each play to our strengths.”

She added: “My talk on ‘The Power of Mentorship’ offered insight on how to discover your purpose using Ikigai or the 'sweet spot' tool, as well as how to do effective goal setting with all nine segments of the life pie in mind.
From here one can then decide what they need a mentor for and I shared some tips on where to find a mentor, what to look for and how to make contact.

Following the SME Women Summit, I'm feeling great it went well and I'm so pleased that people would take time out of their weekend for personal development and attend.

We've had fantastic feedback and I'm hoping everyone uses the tips shared on mentorship to move them forward.”

As part of National Women’s Month, Ntsiki will be co-hosting “Celebrate the diversity of your personality, through the lens of the Enneagram” – a free webinar which discusses how to celebrate your diversity.
