Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA provides a significant additional layer of security against cyber-attacks to your data.

GCU MFA

You must set up multi-factor authentication to access GCU systems and applications that are essential for your study here, including your individual timetable and our online learning platform GCU Learn.

Please follow the simple guide below to set up GCU MFA.

Set-up process

Please complete the set-up process using a desktop or laptop.

Go to the GCU Identity Portal

Enter your Glasgow Caledonian University email address (****@caledonian.ac.uk) and enter ‘Next’

Insert your university email and password and enter ‘Next’

Follow the on-screen instructions to add additional methods of authentication

Important update: GCU Remote Labs authentication

The GCU Remote Labs service now uses GCU MFA for login. If you haven’t set up GCU MFA, you will not be able to access Remote Labs. PingID is no longer supported for authentication.
