Public screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing (6 Oct 2026)
The Sustainability Team are hosting a public screening of the People's Emergency Briefing on 6 October 2026 and invite you and your friends to attend.
In November 2025, more than 1,200 MPs, peers and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media gathered in London for the National Emergency Briefing (NEB) on the Climate Emergency. The briefing was delivered by leading UK experts addressing the implications of climate and nature breakdown for food security, health, national security, infrastructure and the economy, alongside practical evidence on how risks can still be reduced.
The National Emergency Briefing is becoming a rapidly-growing UK public information initiative working to ensure that both Parliament and the public are clearly and honestly briefed on the climate and nature crisis — and on what an effective national response requires.
That briefing has now been adapted into a new public film, The People's Emergency Briefing, and is designed for community screenings across the UK followed by structured local discussion and aims to make vital information accessible in everywhere in a format that is clear, human and watchable.
GCU's screening of the Public Emergency Briefing will take place at 17.30pm on 6 October 2026 and is a ticketed event.
Please note that whilst the Public Emergency Briefing is rated 12. The Climate Psychology Alliance suggest that it is unsuitable for viewers 16 years and younger.
