Governance

As the University for the Common Good, Glasgow Caledonian University is committed to minimising potential environmental impacts associated with its operations in an effective, evidence-based and transparent way.

To deliver on this commitment the University convened the Sustainability Forum with the aim of supporting the development and implementation of operational initiatives that improve the University’s sustainability and help deliver our associated sustainability commitments.

The Sustainability Forum also functions as the University’s sustainability network, where students and staff can get involved and help develop projects to enhance sustainability at the University.

The Sustainability Forum supports and oversees the  development and development of the Glasgow Caledonian University`s sustainability and environmental action plans, whose targets are summarized below.

The Sustainability Forum will meet four times per year, bringing together representation from across the University and contributing to dedicated, thematic sub-groups. Notes from these meetings will be published below.

The University's sustainability budget statement is available below by academic year.

Prior to the Sustainability Forum, the Sustainability Working Group (SWG) had oversight of the University’s sustainability initiative. Whilst the SWG has been superseded, a record of previous meetings is available below (NB. notes for meetings held before 31 May 2018 are not available).
