Admissions guidance for disabled applicants

GCU strongly encourages prospective students to disclose any potentially disabling condition or impairment on their GCU or UCAS application form.  Providing this information at the earliest stage allows us to ensure that any additional support or adjustments you might need are put in place before you start your course.

Universities Scotland have recently published guidance Supporting disabled learners applying to university in Scotland, which explains why all universities request this information and the importance of disclosing your disability when you apply.

We encourage you to look at your programme webpage, and think about the specifics of your programme including any professional body requirements, and how your disability might impact. If you are concerned about any potential barriers or impacts, the Disability Service can offer advice on how these might be mitigated through additional support or adjustments
