Business Management

You’re inspired to be a part of positive change

“You don’t have to face problems alone. We can solve so much when we work together honestly and towards the same purpose; for the same Common Good."

When you don’t even have a toothbrush

No-one should have to live their life without dignity. So, by creating packs of essentials and food for Glasgow’s homeless population I feel like I’ve been able to help in some small way. It was for this reason that GCU’s Common Good mission really stood out to me. When I saw how practical the course was combined with this feeling of just doing the right thing by one another…It was an easy decision to make.

Honesty, authenticity and generosity

Everywhere from your studies to your lecturers and socially; they’re principles that you’ll experience time and time again here. I love Glasgow and I’m passionate about helping even more people throughout Scotland and maybe even the whole of the UK. To be supported with my charity work while studying, even though it can be difficult sometimes, is amazing.

Effective practice is about more than just business

I might have learnt about enterprise behaviours and effective practice through my course, but it’s a principle that I can apply to my whole life. You don’t just learn about the theory of matters here at GCU you're encouraged to go out there and do things, to experiment and to do things differently. I really do believe that responsible business can positively impact society and it’s something I really hope to put into practice when I graduate.
