Student Timetables - 2021/2022 - Trimester A

This year timetables are being created with the health, safety and wellbeing of students and staff in mind and will consist of a mixture of online and face-to-face teaching. As such timetables are being released a trimester at a time rather than for the full academic year so that we can adapt to government guidance as it is received.

Induction Timetables

Induction week timetables are published on the induction webpage, linked below:

Programme and module timetables

These are general timetables that will give you an idea of what days you will have on campus events and when you will have online activity to attend. They will show the teaching activities for all the groups on your programme or module so might not accurately reflect your final timetable, so you should only refer to these until you receive your individual timetable.

While every attempt will be made to minimize any alterations to these timetables, in some circumstances changes may be unavoidable.

Individual timetables

To receive an individual timetable you need to have registered and chosen your options (if applicable). You will then be allocated by the Timetabling Team to your tutorial/seminar/practical groups.

For continuing students, the date your timetable becomes available depends on the date you registered. You can login to Celcat Calendar to view your timetable on the Friday of the week following your registration. For example, if you registered 16 August, you can login and view your timetable on 27 August.

For new students, if you fully register by 12 September, you can login and view your timetable from 17 September.

Accessing your individual timetable

When it is ready, your individual timetable will be available to view via the Individual Student Timetable or (IST) or via your own calendar if you have set up your iCal Feed.

Please note, your timetable may be subject to minor amendments and you should check your timetable on a regular basis for changes to locations and timings.

View your IST via the link below, using their GCU username and password to log in. Please do not try to login using your email address, it must be your GCU username.

If you have any queries relating to your timetable, please contact Timetabling and Student Systems via email on timetabling@gcu.ac.uk.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Individual Student Timetables are only available to students who have registered for 2021/22. If you have not registered yet, you will not be able to access Celcat Calendar, so please refer to the main Programme timetables.
  • You should be able to login to your timetable 24-hours after you complete registration but it may take up to 3 working days before all your classes are showing.
  • Your IST is weekly and not all modules run each week, therefore please check each week.
  • Your IST is updated in real time as changes to your timetable occur, including changes to locations, or to seminar group allocations.
  • It is vital that you check your IST on a regular basis or subscribe to iCal feed.
  • If you have queries regarding your optional modules, please contact your school office.

iCAL feed

In addition to your IST, we offer an iCal feed, to allow you to get access your GCU timetable via your smartphone or mobile device.

Modern versions of client calendars such as MS Outlook, iCal, Google Calendar as well as calendars on smart and mobile devices, such as Android and iOS have the ability to subscribe to CELCAT calendar feeds. Once you've subscribed you can forget about the service - you don't need to manually refresh the data or reconfigure your calendar for each new academic year.

Please note: You must use your GCU email address to subscribe
