First Appointment with a Mental Health Adviser

First Appointment with a Mental Health Adviser Booking

The Wellbeing Service aims to offer appropriate help as quickly and efficiently as possible.

In order to help us do this we would be grateful if you could complete the online form below. A member of the team will contact you as soon as possible. Fields with an asterisk (*) are required.

Please note that all students who access help through the Wellbeing Service must be registered with a GP. If you are not currently registered with a GP, use this link to find your local practice. If you need help to register with a GP please state this on the appointment form. We ask for this information so that we are able to contact your GP if you need urgent help. Wherever possible we will discuss this with you first and obtain your consent. This is in line with the Service’s Confidentiality policy, and we do not use this information in any other way.

This service is staffed between 9-5pm, Monday-Friday. Please note the Student Wellbeing Service is not an emergency service. If someone you know is expressing thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or risk-taking behaviour, and you have a high concern for their safety, advise them to contact their GP and arrange an appointment immediately.

If you think the person may be at immediate risk of harming themselves or someone else (i.e., threatening to take their own life or the life of another person), call the emergency services on 999.

If you are concerned for your own safety or the safety of another student, you can also find emergency contacts here.

You can access online support through 24/7 facilitated mental health support forum, Togetherall - 24/7 Support. You may also find our self-help resources and fortnightly newsletter helpful.
