ARC reception desk

Glasgow Caledonian University has been transitioning to being fully cashless on-campus, including at the ARC.

From 7am on Monday, 5 January 2026 only card payments will be accepted at the ARC. This covers all payments for memberships, sport halls, yoga room, MUGA, gym and showers.

Card payment information

Our card machine works with most debit and credit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

• Chip and PIN - unlimited payment amount.
• Contactless bank cards - up to £100 per transaction (unless user sets own contactless limit).
• Apple Pay - unlimited payment amount (unless user sets own limit on their device).
• Google Pay - unlimited payment amount (unless user sets own limit on their device).
• Samsung Pay - unlimited payment amount (unless user sets own limit on their device).
