Turnstiles

Everyone with a membership must bring and use their GCU student ID card, GCU staff card, or RFID keyring at the turnstile to gain entry past the reception desk. Entry is recorded and required for security, identification, and health and safety purposes.

Lockers

The ARC has more than 150 lockers on the ground floor corridor (plus 15 more in the male changing room) for customers to use while using the gym or sports halls. All lockers require a padlock. Please bring your own or purchase one from the ARC reception desk for £4.

Coats, bags, and similar items should not be taken into the ground floor weight training room or first floor main gym, as they can be a trip hazard, block movement around areas, and prevent others from using equipment.

Closing time

To allow staff and customers to leave on time, the ten-minute period before the building closes is when everyone should have completed their workouts and begin collecting any personal belongings from lockers.

All customers must have exited the ARC building by the closing time.
