Summary of content This module provides students with the opportunity to write a 30 minute draft 'shadow' script for an episode of an existing long-running drama on British / Scottish TV such as a soap opera or medical drama. Students will learn the importance of writing successive drafts of an episode for an existing long-running TV drama and how to assess the strengths and weaknesses of successive drafts. They will also gain an understanding of the importance of ensuring consistency of tone, characterization and story across different episodes through script editing.
