Summary of content

The module considers the concepts and associated tools that are fundamental to the analysis of organisations through their financial statements and internally derived data. The module has been designed to reflect a managerial approach to business financial analysis and evaluation. The main focus of the module is to integrate key concepts of finance, management accounting and data analysis to evaluate business performance with the aim of developing operational practice and financial strategies for the common good. The module aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals No. 4 Quality Education, No. 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth; No. 9 Industry and No. 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
