The course material will be introduced through lectures and seminar sessions that draw upon and extend the lecture material to deepen students' knowledge. Some seminar sessions are designed as a set of formative exercises. Others are open sessions to discuss the group project with the instructor. Students will engage in comparative analysis of methodologies and apply them in practical exercises. Guest speakers will share insights on methodology adoption in industry. These exercises introduce a range of methodologies that allow students to gain confidence and build knowledge of the range of solutions that can be applied to different project environments. Summative exercises provide experience in real-world problem-solving and challenges students to demonstrate analytical and decision-making skills and a capacity for divergent thinking. Students will receive formative feedback on their performance. Summative feedback and grades will be provided for the coursework assignments undertaken as part of the module, using GCULearn. The additional interactive discussion features of GCU Learn will be utilised, as appropriate to the module, to stimulate independent and flexible student learning out with scheduled class time.
