Summary of content

This module develops a critical understanding of how the procurement function supports business needs from both a commercial and an environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy perspective, covering procurement regulations and best practice relating to procurement tendering, supplier selection and supplier monitoring process. This encompasses the development of contract specifications; supplier evaluation including financial due diligence; and the negotiation of appropriate contractual terms and conditions from both commercial and legal perspectives. Also covered is best practice in relation to supplier performance monitoring and contract management including the role of financial and non-financial key performance indicators. Embedded in the module is the importance of evaluating risk at each stage of the procurement process.
