The student will explore aspects of research project management including initial idea, through to project design and testing, implementation, controlling risk, monitoring, and evaluation. There will also be a strong focus on working effectively with a research supervisor. Each student will identify a work based issue/problem and set it in a policy/strategic context. A research question will be developed and supported by a comprehensive literature review and selection of appropriate methodology/ies which will form part of a project proposal. The proposal will be summarised; this will form the basis of the proposal for registration for Stage Two of the Professional Doctorate with the Research Degrees Committee and the submission of research degrees committee form (RDC1).
