Summary of content

This module introduces the academic discipline of Human Computer Interaction.

The module explores the multi-disciplinary nature of Human Computer Interaction and the range of theoretical perspectives, models and frameworks involved.

As HCI covers the major phases of development analysis, design, development and testing the module content is designed to move progressively through these phases. You will be studying theories and techniques intended to support the analysis of problems for which technology is the intended solution. Each week you will be introduced to various theories, tools and techniques which you will study, learn, and then go onto apply these in practical classes and demonstrate an understanding within your own coursework.
