Summary of content
This module aims to develop electronic Internet-of-Things (IoT) engineering applications and cyber-related risks in the applied digital data and forensics domain. Fundamental areas covered include: IoT system infrastructure, data generation, data storage, malicious code, system weaknesses and cyber breaches.
This module bridges technical modern electronic engineering system infrastructures with cyber related risks, including security breaches and cybercrimes. The technical content will develop an understanding of the globalization of the electronics and cyber industry and its effect on system practices and procedures for securing and analysing evidence to support investigations and evaluations.
Summary of how PRME-related issues / topics are covered in this module: The module will present suitable case-studies and contextualised learning to promote PRME principles, rising awareness on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and exploring the impact of IoT systems, data storage and forensics security on them.
