Teaching / learning strategy arrow_forward In line with University Strategy for Learning. To support the student learning experience this module's lectures and seminars are carefully structured to present a consistent and logical progression of issues and concepts. Students are provided with formative and summative feedback via a variety of mechanisms. Feedback on coursework is provided within 3 working weeks of submission providing information on strengths, weaknesses and suggestions for corrective action. Full time and Part Time students: A combination of staff and guest lectures, and tutorial exercises will be complemented by a substantial element of student-centred learning techniques including industrial projects and case studies, carried out in groups. The teaching will comprise an intensive five day programme followed by consolidation seminars throughout the semester. The full time students will be supported using GCULearn. Legislation on Health and Safety will be accessed via the databases that the University subscribes to e.g. OHSIS via Athens. Distance learning students. A study pack is provided including lecture notes, tutorial notes, case studies and worked examples which will also be available on GCULearn. Tutors are available for consultation via GCULearn, e-mail, Teams and telephone. Guest tutors will be used to provide current specialist knowledge.
