This theory practice module provides the theoretical underpinning of MRI principles and the opportunity of integration with its application in practice.
The overall aim of the module is to enhance professional development, providing advanced theoretical knowledge linked to practice, resulting in improved patient outcomes and service delivery.

The content covers the application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in body imaging, with consideration of its role in the investigative and management pathways in a variety of pathologies & conditions, including oncological, neurological and musculoskeletal.
An overview of the basic concepts & physical principles will offer an understanding of the strengths & limitations of the modality, which enables the opportunity for involvement in informed & appropriate decision making, as part of the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team
