Upon successful completion of the module, students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate and apply advanced professional knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology sufficient to underpin assessment and diagnosis of minor injuries, relevant to the context within which care is delivered
2. Demonstrate self-direction, autonomy and creativity in solving complex problems in the context of advanced professional practice
3. Synthesise and apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the advanced assessment of minor injuries and differential diagnosis.
4. Critically analyse and evaluate theoretical models and approaches to critical thinking and decision making in the advanced assessment and management of minor injuries.
5. Critically analyse and evaluate the evidence that underpins safe and effective practice relating to minor injuries.
6. Critically analyse the legal and ethical principles which have implications for the practitioner's role in the autonomous management of illness.
