Summary of content

Module Aim By working on both theoretical understanding and application to practice, this module aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop a critical understanding of the contemporary context of inter-professional working and their role within it as emerging professionals.
Globally there is an increasing emphasis on professionals from different disciplines and backgrounds working together more effectively to improve outcomes for recipients of service and their carers. This has a number of implications for students at macro, micro and meso levels. This module locates inter-professional practice firmly within its organisational, structural and policy context, and provides students with the opportunity to explore key concepts that impact on practice including leadership, team working and professional identity, whilst retaining a focus on practice.
