Summary of content

This module is aimed at providing students with independent research skills. The students have to produce a dissertation report that includes a substantial literature review, independent data collection and analysis, interpretation of results, discussion of findings, conclusion and identification of any further work. The module objectives are to provide these skills via a research project. The students have to identify an outline topic and produce an initial proposal (formative) which is followed by an interim submission (formative), and the final dissertation (summative). At the first two stages the students will receive formative feedback and will receive summative feedback at the final submission, in order to reach the aims and objectives of the module.
