Summary of content

This module supports students as they prepare to enter industry. Students will investigate options for self promotion and portfolio formats including digital and print, evaluate and apply them appropriately according to their discipline. Visual style and identity will be developed and applied to their self promotion formats. Reflecting on past work and academic feedback, students will be supported to further develop, improve and adapt work where appropriate. Opportunities to create new, quality design work will be encouraged to build on existing work and show diversify and breadth across a variety of media. Self-promotion, creating specialised portfolios and presentation/communication techniques will be explored. Students will develop an understanding of current trends in the creative industries, digital media and design practice. Opportunities for new work: Students will also be given an opportunity to fill gaps in their portfolio by fulfilling supplied briefs independently (e.g. client-led, self-initiated, work placement projects and design competitions:
