Summary of content

The module aims to further develop in graduates a deeper and critical understanding of the principles of management accounting with a focus on decision making in the short and long term. This will build on the core areas of management accounting as developed in preceding modules which included management accounting. The areas covered will provide knowledge in this specialist area but will have breadth beyond management accounting with reference to risk management, business strategy, project management and marketing. Information gathering and analysis are fundamental to the module with required reading within the core textbook but also to academic journals when instructed by the tutors.
