Summary of content
The primary objective of this module is to allow students to develop their skills in clinical decision-making within the context of spectacle dispensing. Students will work in the university’s on-campus clinical facility, the GCU Vision Centre, and will undertake real and simulated patient encounters under the close supervision of experienced eyecare practitioners. An accompanying series of interactive lectures will further facilitate the development of clinical and professional skills through the analysis and discussion of clinical cases. Throughout the module, students will develop a portfolio of clinical experience and will have the opportunity to further consider their own learning and development needs through reflective practice.
