Summary of content

This module will provide students who have already completed a level 1 module in economics with a critical appreciation of contemporary economic issues and problems. This is achieved through further development of basic economic analysis and its application to central contemporary economic issues affecting firms, government and households. Whilst the emphasis is on UK, (and Scottish) economic issues and problems, reference will be made, where appropriate, to other advanced and developing economies thus helping to place students' understanding in a broader context.
