Summary of content
Study in three distinct areas provides an introduction to the theory and practice of digital construction:
1. Digital Construction: an introduction to digital construction using industry standard applications
2. Building Information Modelling: an introduction to industry standard documentation, information, processes and workflows
3. Digital applications for the management of Health and Safety: an introduction to health and safety using digital tools
The aim of this module is to introduce learners to industry standard practice and 3D digital construction applications to allow them an opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the production of residential and small commercial design solutions and to identify and manage related health and safety risks in the digital environment.
Assessments are inter-related and sequential in nature, in that the activities and results from one Learning Outcome are integrated and progressed in the subsequent Learning Outcome assessment.
