Construction analysis: site investigation procedures and reports construction site layout and site works temporary and permanent support systems pad, beam and pile foundations basement construction and tanking reinforced and prestressed concrete, reinforcement scheduling and formwork rectilinear steel and concrete frames structural fire protection systems external wall systems performance requirements, cross, cellular, diaphragm and fin wall construction thermal and moisture movement control metal, stone, concrete and brick cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, panel walls beam, girder, truss, space deck, portal roof systems steel, timber and concrete in-situ, precast and complex concrete ground and suspended floors steel and concrete stairs resilient and raised access floors demountable partitions and suspended ceilings working places and access provision.
Services: mechanical and electrical services materials and regulations pipe systems -low, medium and high pressure hot water, steam and air heat transfer equipment - convective and radiant, direct and indirect ventilation systems - ducts, fans, filters, attenuators, fire dampers, control dampers, diffusers, louvres electrical supply systems - mains and submains distribution installations, general and emergency lighting, temporary supplies.

Lectures provide the basic theoretical concepts of construction technology and services.
They will be complemented by tutorials, site visits, and seminars.
There will be a cross module integrated project based on a live site.
