Summary of content

This module will allow students to develop both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in relation to the clinical assessment and management of refractive error and binocular vision. Building on foundational knowledge gained in previous modules, students will be introduced to further key concepts related to (i) assessment and management of refractive error and (ii) the development of normal and abnormal binocular vision and the mechanisms that control accommodation and vergence eye movements. Students will also study. Through a programme of structured practical sessions and seminars, students will explore methods correction and management for a range of refractive and binocular vision statuses.
