The nature and significance of the professional's practice in the field of the built and natural environment.
A broader understanding of the composition what constitutes the built and natural environment and the key issues being faced in the past, currently and the future. The nature of the roles, responsibilities and legal liabilities of professionals in matters of being a practitioner. A detailed outline of the structure, nature and roles of the appropriate discipline specific professional bodies, including their Codes of Practice & Rules of Conduct. The role of Ethics in professional practice. An introduction to the current key issues in Society, Business and the Environment. How to present information in a variety of approaches and methods and including the use of information technology and digital tools. Time management skills for study. Research skills, including sources of and sourcing information. Discipline-specific practical activities, including use of spreadsheet, word processing and data management software.
