Candidates will also be able interpret basic physiological data as presented in tutorial and lecture classes. Candidates will be able to apply the basic physiological principles explored in the module to the understanding of how their bodies work and carry that knowledge into their own specific professional areas.
Teaching / learning strategy arrow_forward The module material will be delivered by a combination of lectures, tutorials and student-centred learning exercises as well as data interpretation. Lectures will provide the foundation material for the module which will be supplemented and enhanced by material presented in tutorials and student-centred exercises. Students will also have the opportunity to undertake self-evaluation questions on a regular basis. Tutorials will also allow practical applications of the physiological topics to the students' own professional area to be examined and discussed. This will reinforce the importance of physiology to each professional area, and will also be done on a weekly basis. In order to facilitate this process, there will be active collaboration between the physiology teaching team and academic colleagues from each professional area to explore best practice in the delivery and content of these tutorial sessions.
