Top Scottish modern for highly skilled employment

Graduate

Glasgow Caledonian is the top performing Scottish modern university for delivering graduates who are in employment in highly skilled occupations 15 months after completing their studies.

The latest Graduate Outcomes survey shows that 91% of Glasgow Caledonian graduates are in employment or further study 15 months after graduating, with 83% in highly skilled occupations - both above the Scottish sector average.

Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Steve Decent welcomed the survey findings and said: "These results are extremely positive and reflect the University's really strong links and co-created curriculum with employers in the private, public and third sectors."

Conducted by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), the national survey captures information about the activities and perspectives of graduates 15 months after they finish their studies.

The findings also show 70% of our undergraduates are in full-time employment, 11% above the Scottish sector with Glasgow Caledonian first in Scotland, and 65% of postgraduates are in full-time employment, 2% above the Scottish average.

These latest findings relate to our 2020/21 cohort of graduates, most of whom will have been surveyed at points throughout 2022. The results from the survey will be used by the University to enhance our outstanding support for our students and graduates.
