Physio expert shares expertise on BBC’s Morning Live – twice in one week
Leading physiotherapist Dr David Hamilton has showcased his expertise to millions of viewers after appearing twice in one week on the BBC’s top-rated TV magazine programme, Morning Live.
Both segments were filmed at the University’s Glasgow campus, where Dr Hamilton joined Morning Live’s resident GP Dr Punam Krishan to discuss practical ways to manage and prevent common musculoskeletal conditions.
In his first appearance, Dr Hamilton answered viewers’ questions on osteoarthritis of the knee and hip, offering evidence-based advice on prevention and self-management strategies. Watch the segment on BBC iPlayer.
Dr Hamilton’s second slot focused on reducing back and neck pain, with simple, effective exercises demonstrated by Esther, one of the University’s physiotherapy students. Watch the segment on BBC iPlayer.
Dr Hamilton is Interim Associate Dean Research in the School of Health and Life Sciences and a Reader in Musculoskeletal Health within the Research Centre for Health. His appearances highlighted the University’s commitment to improving public health through accessible, research-informed advice.
