Students hit fashion capital

Fifty fashion students from GCU travelled to one of the world's most stylish capitals to learn more about the fashion industry.

Undergraduate students studying International Fashion Branding and International Fashion Business travelled to Paris and to take part in a number of excursions, including a Karl Lagerfeld guided walking tour, guided visits to the Pierre Cardin and Yves Saint Laurent museums and a runway show in the iconic Paris department store Galeries Lafayette.

Aileen Stewart, Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) International Fashion Branding programme, said: "The experience that students gain from attending a trip of this nature is invaluable.

"Paris is the most iconic fashion capital in the world and for the students to experience the trip as a whole, as well as the industry insights of the excursions, provided a fantastic insight to French couture brands. The students will take away a real understanding of history from these inspirational designers and creative directors who have made these luxury brands worldwide names."
