GSBS hosts business reception to strengthen industry links
Around 60 business partners attended a reception to celebrate Glasgow Caledonian University's links with industry and further develop internships, placements, and research opportunities for students.
Representatives from Morgan Stanley, IBM, Bank of Scotland, Glasgow Social Enterprise Network, City Building LLP, FDM Group and Change Recruitment registered for the event, hosted by Glasgow School for Business and Society.
Senior management and heads of departments were on hand to discuss opportunities for work placements, live industry projects, guests lectures, and closer ties with the University.
Professor John Lennon, Dean of GSBS, told the guests: "My job is to get our students great jobs and you're the key to that.
"This is one of a number of events to try and build a better relationship with our partners.
"We put a lot of emphasis on work placements as part of our programmes. I firmly believe our strong links with industry bring our programmes to life.
"It's important we say thank you and you get to know the university well, and you know who to contact if you need students for placements, for projects, and for future employment."
