Hazardous Substances
The COSHH Regulations apply to a wide range of substances which have the potential to cause harm to health if they are ingested, inhaled, or are absorbed by, or come into contact with, the skin, or other body membranes. However, ill-health caused by hazardous substances is preventable if used properly and appropriate controls are in place.
COSHH Procedure
The University Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Procedure outlines the requirements of the Regulations and the procedure in place to ensure that the risks associated with hazardous substances are appropriately assessed and managed to prevent exposure to hazardous substances through the activities of the University.
