Common Good Fund

The Common Good Fund provides vital support for students in need.  GCU Foundation works closely with the Student Funding team and colleagues across the university to direct support to where it is needed most.

For the 21/22 academic year, the Common Good Fund is being allocated to the following key issues facing students in the wake of the pandemic:

  • Alleviating Financial Hardship for those who have lost part-time income and have no family support including care experienced students and those from disadvantaged areas.
  • Providing Mental Health and Wellbeing Support responding to the sharp rise in demand for these services as a result of the pandemic.
  • Supporting Employability through match-funded internships providing students with additional help to gain industry experience and guidance to help them get a foot on the career ladder.

Please note, that whilst all funds donated to the Common Good Fund support our students where the need is greatest we do not accept applications. All funds raised are directed to prioritised areas of support as set out on our fundraising pages and disbursed by the Student Funding Team.
