William MacGregor

William MacGregor is a Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging within the Department of Podiatry and Radiography in the School of Health and Life Sciences.

William joined GCU in 2023 from NHS Borders where he worked as a Diagnostic Radiographer across several modalities. He is an experienced student mentor who successfully improved the student experience through developments and enhancements in learning opportunities within the department. He is also an experienced clinical assessor, preparing student radiographers to become competent and confident clinicians entering the workforce. He seeks to continue this ethos through his role here at GCU.

William holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology with Psychology 2008; a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography 2020; and has most recently obtained a PgCert in Professional and Higher Education 2023. He is a fellow of Advance HE and his current research interests involve mentoring and supervision within radiography and enhancements in interprofessional working through simulation in the academic and clinical environment.
