Dr Tom Dudley

Thomas is a Lecturer of Economics at Glasgow School for Business and Society, Glasgow Caledonian University. He is responsible for providing academic research, delivering high-quality teaching on various economics and research methods modules.

Thomas completed his PhD at Coventry University, UK, the thesis examined LDV closure of 2009. The research analysed the impact of plant closure within a small location and the employment paths of the redundant workers. More specifically how higher skilled workers can also be severely affected in job searching in the labour market. Due to the nature and context of the closure, the research also encroached upon the effectiveness of government taskforces and local agencies in reacting to closure, additionally the role of regional and economic development driving effective policy.

He also holds an MA (Hons) in Local and Regional Development from the University of Newcastle, UK.
