Dr Tchad Sharon Jatau is a Lecturer in the Department of Construction and Surveying at the School of Computing, Engineering, and Built Environment.
She earned her PhD in construction management from Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), South Africa. Prior to that, she received an MSc in Construction Management from the University of Jos, a master's in Facility Management from ABU Zaria, and a BTech in Quantity Surveying from FUT Minna, all of which are prestigious universities in Nigeria.
Sharon practiced as a Quantity Surveyor in Nigeria before joining academia in 2012. Her research interests include construction health, safety, and well-being, Construction health and safety education for migrant workers, sustainable construction strategies in the built environment, and how human behaviour interplays in construction.
Sharon is an SDG2030 advocate in developing countries and also volunteers as a peer reviewer for a number of reputable journals.
