After a year of representing students as the Deputy International Students’ Officer during the academic year 2019/20, Tabitha Nyariki was elected into the role of Vice President for the School of Health and Life Sciences 2020/21.

Tabitha has actively been involved in tackling racism within the University and has led campaigns such as Show Racism the Red Card, in collaboration with the Students’ Association sports council. She has also been involved in University-led working groups on tackling the Black Attainment Gap.

Tabitha is a champion for equality and equal representation of students within the University. She was actively involved in a student-led initiative to change the Black and Minority Ethnic Students’ group to the Ethnic Diversity Network in order to ensure equal representation of all minority ethnic groups within the University.

Tabitha has a Bachelor of Science Degree with honours in Applied Psychology and hopes to further her education by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Cyber-Psychology.
