Dr Sonya Campbell-Perry

Sonya is Programme Leader for the BA Business Management programme.

An experienced manager with 25 years in both public and private sectors, Sonya recently joined GSBS as a full-time academic after nearly ten years of combining a management role with part-time teaching commitments. Sonya became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2020, and teaches at all levels. Her Doctoral research is in the field of service model development in higher education, using phenomenographic approaches.

She became the Programme Leader for the Business Management programme in September 2020. Her previous roles have encompassed the departments of Student Support, IT and the Library, and she was part of the team that led the successful delivery of GCU's first-ever Customer Service Excellence Accreditation in 2020. She is also an active Trustee board member for two Scottish charities focused on learning, education and support, Upward Mobility (UpMo) and Scottish Attachment in Action (SAIA).
