Sheila studied Psychology as an undergraduate both at Glasgow University and GCU, and obtained her PhD at Strathclyde University. She also worked for a number of years there as Research Fellow on Government-funded child pedestrian projects, before her Lectureship at GCU. She is primarily interested in aspects of Developmental Psychology – mainly Theory of Mind development and humour – and has also undertaken research in LTHE. Sheila has taught Research Methods on the Psychology Programme at GCU for several years, and is the Module Leader for the Level 2 Research Methods module.
