Dr Nigel Craig

Department of Construction and Built EnvironmentDr Nigel Craig is the Head of Department for Construction and Surveying.
He joined Glasgow Caledonian as a Research Fellow in 2004. Previously he worked as a Knowledge Transfer Associate with Sysnet, an innovative IT company working on a project to design and develop electronic document management systems for use within the construction environment.
Nigel worked as a self-employed Stonemason before embarking on his academic career. His research interests are in the quality and defect levels in new homes. Previous work include a Grade One Knowledge Transfer Partnership project to design and develop IT solutions for the construction industry, coupled together with digital pen and paper applications.
